Salary: Up to $100K (Based on Experience) Key Responsibilities Review, negotiate, draft, and finalize complex retail shopping centre and condominium leases, amendments, estoppels, tenant acknowledgements, notices, and other real estate legal documentation. Coordinate the execution of lease agreements and related documents for both landlords and tenants, ensuring compliance with company policies and negotiated terms. Prepare and register Notices of Lease, Partial Discharges, Full Discharges, Statutory Declarations, and related documentation across Canada. Review, interpret, and summarize lease provisions, provide practical guidance on legal obligations, and abstract critical lease clauses for tracking and compliance. Maintain accurate lease records, electronic and physical files, status logs, bring-forward systems, precedent documents, and tenant allowance tracking. Draft legal correspondence and act as the primary liaison with landlords, tenants, external counsel, and internal stakeholders throughout the lease negotiation process. Organize workflow, support management with documentation and approvals, and assist with special projects and other Real Estate legal initiatives as required. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial leasing, with a focus on retail shopping centre leasing. Minimum 5 years of experience negotiating retail lease agreements. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines in a hands-on, fast-paced environment. Strong business acumen and sound commercial judgment. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Extensive knowledge of commercial leasing requirements across Canada and applicable real estate law. Working knowledge of Teraview.
