They’re looking for an experienced Law Clerk to join their team, ideally someone with a minimum of five years of relevant experience, who knows the ins and outs of plaintiff-side files and enjoys working in a collaborative environment. Salary: Up to $75K Key Responsibilities Manage a full caseload of plaintiff tort and accident benefits files from intake through to resolution Assist lawyers with all aspects of litigation and file management Draft and prepare legal correspondence, pleadings, affidavits, mediation materials, and other legal documents Coordinate discoveries, examinations, mediations, motions, and other litigation dates Maintain limitation dates, deadlines, calendars, and follow-up systems Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, insurance companies, experts, and other third parties Prepare and organize productions, undertakings, medical records, and other relevant documentation Assist with settlement preparation and reporting Maintain accurate and organized electronic and physical files Provide general support to lawyers and contribute to the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice Qualifications 5+ years of experience as a Law Clerk in plaintiff tort and accident benefits Strong understanding of Ontario Rules of Civil Procedure and litigation processes Experience managing plaintiff-side litigation files independently Excellent organizational and time-management skills Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong client-service skills and a professional, personable approach Comfortable working independently while also being a collaborative team player Proficiency with legal software and Microsoft Office Law Clerk designation or relevant legal education is an asset To apply, please forward your resume to Zaheeda Merali, Manager – Law Clerk Division at [email protected]
