Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an Associate Lawyer at Calvin Barry Professional Corporation, located in Toronto, ON. The Associate Lawyer will be responsible for handling a variety of criminal and regulatory cases, including legal research, drafting legal documents, representing clients in court, and maintaining client relations. Key tasks include analyzing case files, preparing legal strategies, negotiating settlements, and providing sound legal advice in accordance with professional standards.
Qualifications Proficiency in legal research, drafting, and documentation Strong litigation and courtroom advocacy skills Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, including client communication Demonstrated skills in negotiation and case strategy development Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage multiple cases effectively and work independently or as part of a collaborative team Membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario Prior experience in criminal law and regulatory offences is highly valued A J.D. or LL.B. degree from an accredited law school
