Role Description: The Executive Assistant Paralegal at La Paix Juridique is a full-time, on-site role based in Gatineau, QC. The role involves supporting legal professionals by preparing and organizing legal documents, drafting correspondence, and assisting with filing procedures. Daily responsibilities include conducting legal and factual research, reviewing documents for accuracy and completeness, and maintaining orderly case files and databases. The Legal Assistant Paralegal will communicate with clients, courts, and other stakeholders, schedule appointments and hearings, and help coordinate case timelines. This position also requires collaboration within a small team environment and adherence to confidentiality and professional standards. Qualifications: Strong foundation in Law and legal procedures, with the ability to support case preparation and administration. Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting, formatting, and organizing contracts, pleadings, and other legal materials. Effective Communication skills for interacting with clients, legal professionals, and external parties in a clear and respectful manner. Solid Research abilities to gather, analyze, and summarize legal and factual information relevant to client matters. Attention to detail in Document Review to identify inconsistencies, errors, and missing information. Diploma or degree in paralegal studies, legal assistant, law, or a related field preferred. Experience working in a law firm or legal environment considered an asset. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple files and deadlines. Proficiency with common office and legal software (e.g., word processing, case management tools). Commitment to confidentiality, ethical conduct, and client-centered service.
